Sunday Report

by Ed Dominick

8-November-09

Hi SD3Rs,

My son Eric and I entertained the public throughout the day.

A noticeable absence of people was evident at 1:30 PM........the start of the Charger vs Giants football game.

Eric ran his Caterpillar trains while Ed ran Thomas and James.

Ed also introduced for the first time an MTH Premier PS2 ALP-44 of  the NJ Transit livery pulling a consist of passenger cars.

Green line ran with DCS and two trains simultaneously all day while the other tracks were run conventional.

An "accident" on the Green track was witnessed by an NTSB Railroad   Inspector from Illinois......see pics below......a one in billion occurrence!     (Yeah, right !!!)

Welcome to the Ed and Eric show.

Three large transformer flat cars were part of Eric's consist.

Two new colorful additions to the Dominick train collection.

A Santa Fe 4-8-4 T-bones a NJ Transit passenger................can you hear the screams???????

Look closely and you will see that both signals are Green.......no texting here.......

Minimal carnage through lucky strike at the cars end.

Jeff was one of two visitors to view the accident and flashed his badge to me.   He was visiting at the museum supporting the countrywide HO enthusiasts who spent the weekend at the museum.       They came from all over the US.
The probability of this ever happening again is unbelievable.  Jeff wanted to make sure the SD3R commission investigates the
dual Green signals on the Green line.     No engineer to blame here.
