Hi SD3Rs and Friends,

Saturday engineers were Ed Dominick and about to be new member, Mike Trejo from Riverside.

Lots of people observed the layout all day with many kudos especially the Xmas/winter scenes.

The Lego display is up again this year in the Pacific Beach Club room. This display will be up until 14 Jan 2011.

Mike ran an MTH Railking 2-8-0, Harley Davidson RTR hauling several Holiday/Christmas boxcars including one playing Christmas carols.

Mike also ran an MTH Premier SD-70 hauling a mixed freight. Both operating in DCS powered by the Z4000.

A Lionel Hogwarts didn't last long on the Red line as the engines pickup rollers were too close together requiring the engine run fast to cross switches but resulted in de-couples when transiting the lift bridge.

Ed ran an MTH Premier AMTRAK Genesis Phase 3 hauling a 7 car mixed passenger consist.

Ed also ran an MTH Railking 2-8-2 Mikado L1. Both trains operated in DCS powered by the bricks.

Thomas the Tank and Sponge Bob trains entertained the youth on the Blue line.
